This place has very good food and drinks. I have been twice and both times the food was excellent. I have not had corn tortillas like that since visiting Mexico. Most Mexican restaurants I have tried since moving to Maryland have been a miss or inconsistent. But not here. And the margaritas and mixed drinks taste quality and not too sweet like a lot of places do. The decor indoors is very nice; there is also outdoor seating. This is on the top of my list from now on!
This place has great atmosphere. It's especially cool when they bring out one of the sizzling and steaming fajita plates. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was good. The prices were reasonable. The only small (mostly joke) complaint I have is that we are there on a Tuesday, and the tacos were still full price. Where are the Taco Tuesday deals?!?!
First time here and we really liked it. I got a big burrito and my wife got a large quesadilla dish, Both were very good. We had reservations (looks like this is highly recommended as it's a very popular place) and we were seated immediately. The waitstaff was fantastic. Checked on us quite a bit and knew the ins and outs of the menu. Note that this place is really loud. Hard flooring and a high ceiling makes for lots of noise and echoes. Their outside seating looked nice as well.
This place was HIGHLY recommended by the Howard County Eats Facebook group for a date night and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious, but the carne asada tacos were exceptional.
Tonight was my first time here. I chose this restaurant because they had good ratings and I'm always in the mood for Mexican food. I was hopeful that they would have some good tequilas since they are a tequila bar. The food and the service were both excellent! My wife got the birria tacos and I got the suizas enchiladas. They both tasted wonderful and I would be happy to order either again. I'm very picky about my tequilas and I didn't find one that I wanted to try. All of theirs had been aged in repurposed barrels. If I wanted something that tastes like whiskey or wine, I'd order whiskey or wine. I did order the house margarita which was superb! Lastly, I loved the art inside and outside the building. Our hostess told me they brought in an artist from Mexico to paint the murals. It is refreshing to see someone care enough about quality to commission original art. I believe this commitment and attention to detail is also evident in their food. On the whole, I do recommend this restaurant and I will go here again if I have the chance.
Great menu, everything was fresh and delicious. Drink menu had something for everyone. Beautiful theme. Plenty of outdoor seating.
We have been enjoying Soluna just about since it opened and the food is consistently flavorful both in the restaurant and takeaway. One of the most unique and delicious items is the fried oyster tacos - the oysters are fresh with a light batter, served in corn tortillas with pickled onions and aioli. The salmon is also a winner - nice kick of heat, not overcooked, and served with cravable mashed potatoes. Service is always awesome no matter how busy they are and for a great mocktail or cocktail, highly recommend the lime in the coconut. Overall, will continue enjoying this great addition to the Elkridge dining scene.
First off have to give a shoutout to our server Mario. He gave us suggestions on food and drink and it was superb! Came on a Friday afternoon and it was a nice atmosphere. Chips and salsa were hot. Entres we had carne asada and birria tacos. Also had the quacamole with lump crab on top for an appetizer. Drinks I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the margaritas. Amazing experience! Definitely our go to Mexican spot.
Great food, and exceptionally crafted Margaritas and Cocktails. The Soluna Margarita is incredibly unique, just the right amount of bitter, and incredibly tastey. I ate the Soluna Chimichanga, and the cook allowed me to sub the chicken for Shrimp, which turned out incredibly well. All of the meats were properly seasoned and prepared. The steak in particular was very well seasoned and cooked, especially considering it is stuffed into a burrito. The ambiance and service is fantastic! I have one complaint. My queso was a touch grainy, with the cheese ever so slightly separating from the cream of the queso. This happens due to two reasons - not using Evaporated Milk in the queso recipe and subbing in Heavy Cream or Milk instead .... or .... the queso was over heated and kept warm for an overlong period of time. Despite that one little issue, everything else was perfect.
